About your teeth whitening consultation
During your consultation with a dentist, we will make sure that your teeth are healthy enough for whitening treatment before we go ahead. If your teeth are dentally fit for treatment, we can then take a dental impression and create custom trays to fit your teeth exactly. Getting the perfect fit is important for achieving great results and will make sure that your teeth get an even coverage of whitening gel when you wear your custom trays.
Once we have provided whitening trays we can then show you how to use them and give you all the instructions you need in terms of use and aftercare for your take home whitening kit. From start to finish, your consultation will last around an hour and at the end you will be able to start your professional whitening treatment. After around 10 days, you will start to see results as the stubborn stains on your teeth begin to disappear.
As well as achieving whiter teeth and removing stains, a further benefit of teeth whitening is that you can carry out treatment on your own terms. For example, we find that many patients choose to wear their whitening trays at night whilst they sleep.
